Coopersburg's Holiday Season Starts on Limeport Pike, Two Weeks Before Main Street Lights Its Tree

October 15, 2026

On most calendars, the Coopersburg Fire Company tree lighting on November 28 starts the holiday season. Two Saturdays carry the 2026 season. The first one is November 14, when the Christmas market opens in a heated barn on Limeport Pike and Promenade Saucon Valley lights its tree. The second is November 28, when the borough's tree lighting falls on the same Saturday a nearby cut-your-own tree farm opens. If you plan around those two dates, most of the season is covered.

Here is what's confirmed as of mid-October.

The Handoff From Fall Happens in One Weekend

Fall wraps up quickly. The borough's Trick-or-Treat is Friday, October 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. The rain date hasn't been announced yet, and in past years it has usually been the following Saturday. Two days later, on Sunday, November 1, the Coopersburg Farmers Market runs its last session of a season that started May 17. No winter or holiday market dates have been posted to follow it.

Upper Saucon residents get one more October errand. The township is holding a household hazardous-waste collection at Hopewell Park on Saturday, October 31, from 8 a.m. to noon. It's open to township residents only, and you have to register through DEP ahead of time.

That leaves a twelve-day gap with nothing on the calendar. Then the holidays start on a farm.

November 14: The Barn on Limeport Pike and the Promenade, Same Saturday

Hausman Fruit Farm is at 2822 Limeport Pike. The mailing address says Coopersburg, but WFMZ places the farm in Lower Milford Township. It's a fifth-generation produce farm with a farm store, a bakery and an on-site spirits operation called Hausman Farm Distillery.

The farm's Christmas Market on the Farm runs Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in a heated barn. Artisans and crafters fill the barn, and the farm store, bakery and distillery stay open while the market runs. The farm will also put together gift baskets on request. The distillery's bar is open whenever the store is open. That makes the market a good place to shop for gifts for the hosts on your list.

On the same Saturday, Promenade Saucon Valley holds its Holiday Tree Lighting and opens Snowflake Square in the Town Square. Snowflake Square runs from November 14 through December 24. The Snowflake Square page lists hours of 4 to 8 p.m. on Fridays, noon to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. The Promenade hasn't posted a time for the lighting on its current listing. An older event page with no year still shows Saturday, November 15. November 15, 2026 is a Sunday, so go by the live events listing.

The two schedules fit together. The barn market closes at 3 p.m., and Snowflake Square stays open until 8 p.m. on Saturdays. You can spend the morning on Limeport Pike and the evening at the Promenade without rushing either one.

Bobwhite Acres at 3879 E. Mill Hill Road works for that Saturday too. Its barn and packhouse sell apples and cider in November on Fridays and Saturdays only, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Two Weeks in Between

Nothing big is scheduled from November 15 through Thanksgiving, which gives the first weekend room to breathe. If you missed the barn market's Saturday, Sunday the 15th has the same 11-to-3 hours. Snowflake Square is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the rest of the season. Bobwhite's Friday and Saturday cider hours continue through November.

These two weeks matter mostly for planning the second Saturday, because that's where the schedule gets tight.

November 28: The Tree Lighting and the Tree Farm Share a Date

The Coopersburg Fire Company tree lighting is on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Lehigh Valley Chamber's vendor events page gives the location as 5 N. Main Street. Here's how the borough calendar describes the evening:

"This will help kick off the holiday season with Craft vendors, Pictures with Santa, Gingerbread decorating contest, and lighting the Fire Company tree."

The rain date hasn't been set, and the borough says to contact the Fire Company directly for details.

The same day, the tree farm opens. Bobwhite Acres lists Wata Farm as a cut-your-own Christmas tree farm at 3650 County Line Road in Quakertown. Bobwhite's hours page says Wata opens "the Saturday after Thanksgiving." In 2026, that's November 28. The same page also prints "NOV 29" with no year. That date is a Sunday in 2026, so it can't be this year's Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Plan the day around the tree farm. Wata closes at 4:30 p.m., and the most recently posted hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends and noon to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, weather permitting. The tree lighting starts at 6 p.m. If you get to County Line Road early in the afternoon, you can have a tree on the car before Main Street fills up.

A few details from the farm before you go:

  • Cash only. The Wata page says the farm doesn't take checks or credit cards.
  • Saws and carts are provided, so you don't have to bring tools.
  • Species and prices aren't posted on the farm's page, so plan for some cash flexibility.
  • Weather can change the hours, and the farm says so on its schedule.

The tree farm's opening day and the tree lighting are both tied to Thanksgiving. Every year they land on the same Saturday, so the overlap comes back every November.

December Moves Indoors, With Two Library Dates

After Thanksgiving weekend, the schedule shifts toward smaller evening events. The Southern Lehigh Public Library at 3200 Preston Lane in Center Valley has two dated programs. The Lehigh Valley Harmonizers, a men's a cappella group, perform on Tuesday, December 1, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The SLPL Evening Book Club discusses A Christmas Carol on Thursday, December 17, from 7 to 8 p.m. Snowflake Square stays open on weekends through Christmas Eve.

Still Waiting on Dates

Two of the area's best-known traditions don't have 2026 dates yet. They're worth checking for in November.

  1. A Country Christmas with the Hausmans. The farm says dates and times are "still to come." It lists orchard hayrides past lighted scenes, photos with Santa, hot apple dumplings, hot chocolate and cider, s'mores over a campfire, movies on the barn and hot food concessions. Hausman Farm Distillery will be open every night of the event, and concessions are listed at $1 to $6. Updates will be posted on the farm's website and Facebook page.
  2. The Fire Company Santa Run. The Coopersburg Fire Company describes it as Santa riding a fire truck through the borough with help from Coopersburg Station. Its events page doesn't list a date.

The Coopersburg Historical Society's posted 2026 open houses ended in August, and no holiday dates are on its events page.

When those dates are posted, they'll fill in around the two Saturdays that are already set: November 14 on Limeport Pike and at the Promenade, and November 28 at Wata Farm in the afternoon and on Main Street at 6 p.m.
